Programme Specific Outcome

PROGRAMME  SPECIFIC OUTCOMES OF THE B.Ed. COURSE.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme with the aim to develop an understanding of teaching –learning process at secondary and senior secondary level among student teachers. Its focus shall be on enabling student teacher to reflect critically on perspectives of Education and integrate holistically the theory and practices to facilitate active engagement of learners for knowledge creation.

 

Programme Specific Outcomes

 The B.Ed programme shall also focus on. 

PSO1 – Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, theories, nature, scopes, principles and procedure of the selected areas of study in Education.

PSO2 - Prepare/ implement/ apply/select/analyze the educational problems and provide realistic and relevant solutions attained through the knowledge and skill of the program

PSO3 –Develop skills in analyzing different statistical measures, interpreting test results and interpretation of data through graph and statistic technique

PSO4- Develop a positive self-concept, self-confidence and an optimistic attitude towards life,

 PSO5 – Demonstrate ability of making objective decision in educational management

 PSO6 –Analyze the various problems faced by the mentally and physically challenged children and design an awareness program to encounter the problem of  challenge children

PSO7 –Perform investigative research skills and develop skill of writing report by conducting project work in the field of education.

PROGRAMME SPECFIC OUTCOMES (POS) OF M.Ed :

MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUACTION (M.A. EDUACTION)

The Master of Arts in Education (M.A Education) is a two year (04 semester) programme that provides an opportunity for students in the field of Education to pursue higher education and undertake advanced course- work and research. The course offered excellent career prospects in terms of advancement of knowledge and qualification and ultimately making them qualified professional and later researchers.

 

Programme Specific outcomes

The M.A. Education programme aims at producing a team of well-trained individuals knowledgeable in Education and its various dimensions. More specifically the M.A. Education

Programme intends to:

PSO1: Build perspective and understanding of concepts, theories, ideas and practices in Education.

 PSO2: Develop reflective and analytical skills and understanding of critical issues in Education.

 PSO3 :Understand different facts of Educational policies and practices. 

PSO4 :Build research skills, data analysis abilities and capacity to visualize, conduct and present research.

PSO5: Provide research related experiences to develop research abilities leading to writing of a Dissertation.

 PSO6: Enable rich understanding and a critical perspective about specialized areas of Education like ICT & Education, Inclusion and Diversity, Social Science Education, Science Education, etc.

PSO7: Provide learning experiences, which will enable students to understand and appreciate knowledge structure paradigms of Education.

PSO8:Develop professional for effective participation in educational actions in different areas of education.

PSO9: Create a community of scholars adequately equipped for participation in Educational discourses.

 PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES  OF THE COURSE M.Phil

PSO1: To develop sound understanding of the methods of research in various field of teacher education, so that it can go a long way in producing reliable and valid thesis.

PSO2: To develop sound understanding of the methods of research.

PSO3: To understand and analyze research literature to identify research gaps

PSO4: To develop the ability to construct and use appropriate educational research tools

PSO5: To apply appropriate statistical techniques of data analysis depending on the research designs.

 

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES  OF THE COURSE Ph.D

PSO1: Demonstrate their competence to carry out independent and original academic research in Education.

PSO2:Complete within a three-year fixed period of time a body of research that contributes significantly to Educational  knowledge (or within 6 years if part-time).

PSO3: Present the results of their research to a standard equivalent to that of a peer-reviewed academic publication.

PSO4:Demonstrate that they have acquired skills in oral presentation and sufficient confidence in their knowledge, ideas and abilities to be able to present and defend their academic work in front of their peers.

PSO5: Achieve the objectives of:
a) generic skills to become a high-level professional 
b) subject-specific advanced training;
c) subject-specific craft skills
d) broad scholarship and wider engagement within the full community of scholars (e.g. networking, dissemination of knowledge, conferences, demonstrating impact and public value of research).
