The B.Voc. (Tourism and Travel Management) programme is focused on providing undergraduate degree with multiple exit points such as Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree under NSQF spread over three years incorporating specific job roles along with broad based general education component. It is a new initiative of Government to align higher education with the emerging needs of the economy so as to ensure that the graduates of higher education system have adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship. It is a course where more importance is given to practical education than the customary theoretical education. Each level of the programme would be a suitable mix of skill development and general education components. The weight-age for skill development would be 60 % and general education component 40%. The changes would be incorporated as per UGC/NSDC guidelines issued from time to time, keeping in view the needs of the local industry as
well.
Eligibility for Admission
The eligibility condition for admission to B.Voc programme shall be 10+2 or equivalent, in any stream or level 4 of NSQF.

Fees: Rs.5000/- Annually.
Selection through entrance test.
The admission will be made for 50 seats on the basis of academic merit of Qualifying examination or by entrance test (which will be held at BGSBU) if the number of admission seekers is more. |
